Okay, I’ll be honest: This engine compartment looks awful. It’s downright embarrassing. I’d like to clean it up at some point, but I don’t know when “some point” will be. There are no leaks to speak of, and the car runs great — nice and smooth, whether idling or driving — so I’m hesitant to do so much as change the valve cover.
So, until “some point” arrives and I work up my courage, our Mustang’s inline-six will have to settle for the occasional power wash and, of course, regular maintenance.
(Jeez, these pictures really show how terrible the exhaust manifold looks, don’t they?)
